Jennifer Adighije, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije, has emphasised the organisation’s commitment to supporting a gender-inclusive workplace where both women and men can thrive and achieve their full professional potential.

Adighije, the first woman to lead the power company since its establishment in 2005, made the remarks during the organisation’s event marking International Women’s Day 2026.

Highlighting the broader role of women in society, she stressed that empowering women is vital for economic growth and sustainable development.

“Women are critical drivers of social and national development. When you empower a woman, you have the potential to transform an entire nation,” she said.
