UAC Foods appoints Temitope Omodele as MD/ CEO in historic leadership transition

Omodele  becomes the food company’s chief executive after rising through the ranks of KPMG and UAC’s senior finance leadership

UAC Foods Limited has announced the appointment of Temitope Omodele, FCCA, FCA, as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at one of Nigeria’s most established food and beverages companies.

Omodele steps into the role from her position as Chief Financial Officer of UAC Foods Limited, a post she has held since May 2023. Her elevation to the top executive seat follows a career trajectory that has seen her build one of the most technically rigorous finance and audit profiles in Nigeria’s corporate landscape spanning nearly two decades across professional services, financial advisory, and senior management.

Before joining UAC Foods, Omodele spent close to seven years at KPMG Professional Services in Nigeria, where she rose from Senior Associate to Senior Manager.

In that role, she provided IFRS technical training to partners and staff across KPMG’s audit division, delivered tailored accounting guidance to clients across multiple sectors, reviewed financial statements for listed entities, and provided technical support to audit teams across the African continent.

An accredited KPMG trainer, she also co-ordinated the testing and release of new audit tools for KPMG Nigeria — a responsibility that placed her at the intersection of audit quality, methodology, and digital transformation within the firm.

Her international exposure includes a stint at KPMG Inc in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she provided guidance to external audit teams on the application of International Standards on Auditing and liaised with regulators on new standards and frameworks. This cross-border dimension of her career deepened a technical foundation already built on extensive experience in external audit, due diligence, IFRS conversions, and agreed-upon procedures for leading clients in Nigeria’s financial services sector.

Omodele also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Livestock Feeds Plc, a position she has held since October 2022,adding a governance and board-level dimension to an executive profile already defined by its breadth. Her Senior Vice President Finance role at UAC of Nigeria Plc, which she has concurrently held since September 2020, further reflects the level of institutional trust she commands within the wider UAC group.

In announcing the appointment, UAC Foods described her elevation as the beginning of an exciting new chapter, expressing confidence in her capacity to drive operational excellence, innovation, sustainable growth, and long-term value creation for the company.

For an executive who began her career as an Executive Assistant at Zenith Bank in 2007 before building one of the most decorated technical finance careers of her generation, the appointment is both a personal milestone and an institutional statement — that the most credible path to the chief executive’s chair runs through the discipline, depth, and demonstrated performance that Omodele has accumulated over nearly 20 years.
