I&M Bank names Dorine Nalo new Head of Foundation

I&M Bank Ltd has announced the appointment of Dorine Nalo, as the new Head of I&M Foundation.

The bank announced on its official LinkedIn page, expressing delight at welcoming Dorine Nalo to lead the Foundation’s efforts in deepening community impact and advancing the group’s commitment to creating shared prosperity.

“Dorine brings nearly 20 years of experience in social impact, programme management, and strategic partnerships,” the bank stated. “She will lead the Foundation’s efforts to deepen community impact and advance I&M’s commitment to creating shared prosperity.”

Nalo joins I&M Foundation with a strong track record in financial inclusion, economic empowerment, digital inclusion, and climate resilience programmes.

Most recently, she served as Head of Programs at Stanbic Bank Kenya (Stanbic Foundation) since December 2024. In that role, she has been responsible for end-to-end programme design and management, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement with high-profile partners including the Gates Foundation, German Development Cooperation (GIZ), Microsoft, World Bank, and various county and national governments, as well as resource mobilisation.

Before her current position, Nalo held several Programme Manager roles at Stanbic Kenya Foundation, where she successfully implemented major initiatives funded by the German Development Cooperation. These included the MSE Resilience Programme, which supported MSMEs affected by COVID-19 across multiple counties, and the Blue Economy Programme, which targeted coastal counties.

Her earlier career includes senior positions at EY (Ernst & Young) as Senior Manager for Emerging Technologies and Digital Transformation, where she led initiatives in Blockchain, Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, and Artificial Intelligence across East Africa. She also worked as ICT Automation and Integration Specialist with USAID-funded programmes supporting regional economic communities (IGAD, EAC, and COMESA).

Nalo has extensive expertise in IT governance, digital strategy development, project management, risk management, and impact measurement. She is also actively involved in professional networks, having served as SheLeadsTech Liaison for ISACA Kenya Chapter.
