International insurtech company bolttech has appointed Bente Krogmann as its new General Manager, Africa, expanding her leadership responsibilities across the company’s African operations.
Krogmann’s appointment follows her tenure as General Manager, Kenya, and is expected to bring bolttech’s East and South Africa businesses closer together, strengthening collaboration, accelerating commercial execution and creating new partnership opportunities across the region.
In her expanded role, Krogmann will work with market leaders and teams across Africa, alongside bolttech’s Group and EMEA leadership, to support the company’s next phase of regional growth.
Her mandate will include leveraging local market expertise and established partner relationships while helping to build a more connected and scalable business across the continent.
Krogmann joined bolttech in December 2025 as General Manager, Kenya, where she was responsible for the company’s operations in Kenya and the wider East African market. She was elevated to General Manager, Africa, in July 2026.
Before joining bolttech, Krogmann spent nearly seven years as Chief Executive Officer and Director of mTek Services, where she led the development of the company’s InsurTech platform and gained extensive experience in Africa’s insurance technology ecosystem.

Her career spans business leadership, strategy, sales, market development and entrepreneurship across African and European markets. She previously served as Business Development Director – Project Division at Alibhai Shariff & Sons and Head of Sales at Wagner Möbel Manufaktur. She also held roles including Head of Strategy and Sales Export Manager at Achelis Group.
Her professional experience includes assignments across Kenya, Tanzania and Germany, providing exposure to both regional and international business environments.
Beyond her executive roles, Krogmann serves as a Board Member at Symbastone Group and a Non-Executive Board Member at Extreme Clean Carwash Kenya, where she contributes to strategy, governance and business development.
With experience spanning operations, entrepreneurship and board leadership, Krogmann is expected to play a key role in strengthening bolttech’s African operations, deepening partnerships and driving commercial growth across the continent.
