ETK Group Appoints Amaka Ekezie as Nigeria’s new Country Manager

ETK Group has appointed Amaka Ekezie as its Country Manager for Nigeria, entrusting her with the leadership of the company’s operations and commercial growth in one of Africa’s largest markets.

In her new role, Ekezie is responsible for driving business development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives across Nigeria.

She also advises international businesses on market entry, growth strategy, and commercial opportunities, helping clients navigate complex operating environments while building compliant and profitable ventures.

A key part of her mandate involves strengthening relationships across government, industry, and the private sector to unlock trade, investment, and cross-border business opportunities in line with ETK Group’s broader mission of enabling sustainable growth across Africa.

Group Managing Director Bolaji Sofoluwe MBE welcomed the appointment, stating:

“I’m delighted to have Amaka onboard. Her track record speaks for itself. She’s already shown what she brings to the table: sharp market judgment and the relationships to back it up. Having the right person leading our Nigerian operations is key to the growth we’re targeting across the region.”

Ekezie brings a strong blend of public and private sector experience to the role. Prior to joining ETK Group, she served as International Market Advisor for West Africa at the UK’s Department for Business and Trade, where she supported British businesses seeking to invest and expand in the region.

In her reaction to the appointment, Ekezie reacted to the appointment
“Three months ago, I stepped into my role as Country Manager (Nigeria) at ETK Group, leading our commercial strategy and operational footprint.
It feels less like a new beginning and more like a deliberate convergence of the last decade. “

Ekezie also said “My path across international business has always lived at the intersection of strategy, policy, and execution in the public and private sectors. From mastering corporate viability (dissecting business models and building growth playbooks from the ground up) to analyzing AfCFTA frameworks at the macro policy level, and later fusing these perspectives by supporting international businesses navigate complex West African regulatory realities. “
She earlier worked as a Trade Negotiator at the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations and held roles at Accenture and the Africa Youth Growth Foundation.

Beyond her corporate career, Ekezie is the Founder and CEO of Sage & She Wellness, a women-focused holistic wellness hub and boutique Yoga and Pilates studio based in Abuja.

Under her leadership, the brand has grown into a recognised name in Nigeria’s wellness space, spanning operations, brand development, programme design, and strategic partnerships.
