FirstBank Ghana has named seasoned human capital expert Rosie Ebe-Arthur as its Acting Board Chairperson, a move hailed for leveraging her deep expertise to guide the institution’s strategic growth.
Ebe-Arthur, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in the UK, brings a wealth of experience in human capital management, organizational leadership, and corporate governance from across Africa and the United Kingdom. Her career has spanned financial services and professional advisory firms, where she has driven transformative initiatives.
Within the FirstBank Group, Ebe-Arthur previously served as Group Head of Human Capital Management and Development, playing a key role in talent shaping and leadership programs that aligned with the group’s overarching strategy. As a Non-Executive Director of FirstBank Ghana, she has already made substantial contributions to the bank’s governance and direction, making her a natural fit for the interim leadership role.

Ebe-Arthur holds a Postgraduate degree in Personnel Management from the University of Westminster and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a Diploma in English. She is also an alumna of executive programs at INSEAD and the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ebe-Arthur is passionate about empowering women and youth, and she enjoys gardening while exploring trends in the future of work. The appointment underscores FirstBank Ghana’s commitment to strong, inclusive leadership amid evolving market dynamics.
