Letshego Africa names Neo Lele Bogatsu new alternate director

Letshego Africa Holdings has appointed Neo Lele Bogatsu as an alternate director to Catherine Lesetedi, The appointment took effect on 18 August 2026 following regulatory approval, according to a notice issued by Letshego.


Bringing an executive with more than three decades of experience across financial services, investment management and business transformation onto the group’s board.


The appointment was made in accordance with Clause 21.1 of the company’s Constitution, which allows the board to appoint a person who is not already a director to serve as another director’s alternate.


Bogatsu is currently an Executive Director at Botswana Life Insurance and has built a career spanning financial services, investment management, audit, analytics, sales and business transformation.

Prior to her appointment, she held both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer positions at Botswana Insurance Fund Management (BIFM). During her time at the organization, she helped maintain sustained profitability, retaining key institutional clients and strengthening operational resilience.

Bogatsu is ACCA qualified, She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with an Accounting major, from the University of Botswana, as well as an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has also completed the Senior Executive Program Africa through Harvard University in conjunction with the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

Her experience also includes leading organizational turnarounds, managing client relationships and developing high-performing teams, giving her a background that spans both operational leadership and strategic management.

Bogatsu also brings significant board experience, having served across sectors including financial services, healthcare, education, property and infrastructure. Her broader governance experience adds to her executive background as she takes up the alternate director role at Letshego.


The addition of her experience in insurance, investment management, financial management and corporate governance strengthens the range of expertise available to the company’s board as it helps the company operate as a diversified financial services group with a presence across several African markets.
