NEW: KCB Bank urges women inclusion and energy financing

Strong partnerships, innovative financing and greater inclusion of women are essential to accelerate Africa’s energy transition and strengthen long-term energy security, KCB Bank executives said at the 2026 Africa LPG Summit.

KCB Head of Trade Finance George Kiluva opened the summit by stressing the need for collaboration and sustainable financing models that can support investments across the energy sector. He highlighted the critical role of financing in driving energy security, facilitating trade and promoting sustainable economic growth across the continent.

Building on this theme, KCB Head of Oil & Gas Noreen Araka participated in a panel discussion titled “The Role of Women in Powering the Clean Energy Revolution.” She emphasised the importance of expanding women’s leadership in the energy sector, improving access to finance for women-led enterprises, and creating inclusive opportunities throughout the energy value chain.

“Africa’s clean energy transition will only succeed if women are empowered not just as participants, but as leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. Expanding access to finance is key to unlocking that potential,” Araka said.
