Nkechi Runsewe appointed Human Resources Director at Nigerian Breweries Plc

Nigerian Breweries Plc has announced the appointment of Nkechi Runsewe as its new Human Resources Director, effective August 1, 2026.

Runsewe joins the leading beverage company from The HEINEKEN Company, where she served as Global Head of Talent Management. In that role, she played a pivotal part in shaping and executing HEINEKEN’s global talent and performance management agenda, strengthening leadership succession pipelines, and advancing the company’s EverGreen2030 ambitions.

With nearly two decades of progressive HR leadership experience across multinational corporations, Runsewe brings deep expertise in talent management, organisational development, leadership development, and employee engagement. Her career spans key roles at The HEINEKEN Company, Diageo, Etisalat Nigeria, MultiChoice Group (M-Net), FBNQuest, and Accenture.

Notably, at HEINEKEN, she held positions as Global Head of Talent Management and Regional Talent & Leadership Development Manager for Africa, Middle East & Eastern Europe (AMEE). At Diageo, she served as Global Talent Manager and Head of Talent Engagement in Nigeria. She also held senior talent and HR leadership positions at FBNQuest and M-Net West Africa.

She succeeds Grace Omo-Lamai, who retires on July 28, 2026, after nearly a decade of distinguished service and impactful leadership at Nigerian Breweries Plc.

In its official announcement, Nigerian Breweries Plc expressed delight at welcoming Runsewe to the team while wishing her predecessor well in her next chapter.

“Nkechi joins us from The HEINEKEN Company, bringing strong global experience in talent management and organisational development,” the company stated.

Runsewe’s appointment is expected to further strengthen Nigerian Breweries’ human capital strategy as the company continues to drive performance, innovation, and sustainable growth in Nigeria’s competitive FMCG sector.
