As Chief Executive Officer, Mzena oversees the strategic direction, operational performance, and long-term growth of Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania. Since assuming the role, she has focused on strengthening the company’s market presence through improved operational efficiency, customer-focused product development, and sustainable financial performance. A Journey of Financial Leadership Within Jubilee

Mzena’s rise to the CEO position reflects more than a decade of progressive leadership within the Jubilee organization. She previously served as Chief Financial Officer, where she played a key role in strengthening the company’s financial management, risk oversight, and operational processes. Before that, as Head of Finance and earlier as Chief Accountant, she helped guide financial strategy and internal governance, contributing to the company’s stability and long-term growth.

Before joining Jubilee, Mzena gained valuable international experience as a Finance Officer at NTT Europe Online in the United Kingdom. She later returned to Tanzania to work as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting, where she contributed to strategy and operations management projects. These roles broadened her expertise in financial systems, corporate strategy, and operational efficiency skills that would later prove instrumental in her leadership journey in the insurance industry.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Mzena also plays an active role in strengthening Tanzania’s insurance sector. She currently serves as Vice President of the Insurance Institute of Tanzania, where she supports initiatives aimed at promoting professional development and strengthening industry standards.
